The project involved mobilizing public-private resources and synergies in transforming the structure housing a commercial shopping center in Pioltello into a cutting-edge, local Public Healthcare Complex.

To complement the medical services, the project also involved the construction of a galleria retail space on the ground floor and individual units underground designed to provide users with relaxation and refreshment areas.

The initiative involved Italian Auxologico Institute, the City of Pioltello, the 'Milano 2' ASL offices, and the Circle of Melegnano General Hospital, each with offices inside the health facility.

The work commissioned involved all stages of redevelopment, from the preliminary design to the construction and accreditation of the hospital. Besides the structural renovation to the building, work included the external urban infrastructure which, being a public works project, was assigned and executed through a tender in accordance with current legislation.
